HARVEST FESTIVAL October 20, 2007 11am - 3pm Celebrate autumn and learn about the historic Piper Orchard in Carkeek Park's environmental learning center. Enjoy local harvest, fresh apple desserts, cider, storytelling, music and a dessert auction to raise funds for organic care of Piper Orchard! Years of hard work by neighbors and volunteers have brought salmon back to Pipers Creek in Carkeek Park. Now the Piper Orchard project will rid Pipers Orchard of coddling moth and other parasites, and teach feasible organic methods.
